Lewin Playout System

Daniel Lewin was an American-Isreali mathematician and entrepreneur. Daniel, along with his partners, created various algorithms for optimizing internet traffic. Lewin also served in the Israeli Special Forces. He is believed to be the first victim on 9/11. As a passenger on Flight 11, it is widely believed he may have used his military training in an attempt to stop the hijacking because of his close proximity to the flight deck and the hijackers.

The Lewin Playout System, named in his memory and inspired by his work in revolutionizing how video is sent across the Internet, creates an all-inclusive ecosystem where the video editor and programming scheduler upload their workflow to the IOVS Scheduling Tool.

The scheduling tool moves that information through the VideoFile Server into the Playout Server and passes through an automated Watchdog System checking for audio and video signal quality before streaming through the CDN and finally the platform partner
